Dr. Smith grew up on a small farm 20 miles east of Newton. He completed his dental education at the University of Nebraska and graduated in 2003. He came back to the Newton area right out of dental school and worked at Tippin Dental Group for several years before working in practices in Lexington, VA and Tampa, FL. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, and has completed advanced education studies at The Dawson Academy, Spear Institute, and Chasolen Education and Research Center. He feels that a smile is one of the best attributes a person possesses and enjoys working to keep that smile healthy and long lasting.
Out of the office, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. Together, they enjoy camping, boating, and other family-friendly outdoor activities. Dr. Smith likes to get outdoors and do some hunting. He also appreciates cooking and good food, and on occasion has been known to combine the two and try out his wild game culinary creations on a captive audience. Dr. Smith is committed to a lifestyle of wellness and likes to stay physically fit. He also likes to travel and is in the middle of a multi-year goal to take his family to see all 50 states as well as camp in the major national parks and sites of national historic significance.
